Print Options


The Print Options dialog box is displayed when you print a project item.

Print

These options are only available when you print nodes. You can select:

  • Reference View  Prints the contents of the node

  • Summary View  Prints a list of all the sources coded in the node including folder location, number of references and coding coverage. This option is only available when you are printing nodes.

Properties

Name Select this option, if you want to include the folder or hierarchical name. You can select from the following Formats:

  • Name only  The item name only

  • Folder and Name  The folder structure displayed in Navigation View, and the item name

  • Hierarchical Name  The hierarchical structure displayed in List View and the item name

  • Folder and Hierarchical Name  The folder structure displayed in Navigation View, and the hierarchical structure displayed in List View, and the item name

Description  Select this option to include the description entered in the item's properties

Other Properties  Select this option to Include other item properties—for example, the date that the project item was created. This option is only available for sources—the properties vary depending on the type of source you are printing.

When you print sources and nodes, you can optionally related content.

Annotations  Select this option to include annotations as footnotes.

See Also Links  Select this option to include 'see also' links as footnotes.

Relationships  Select this option to include relationships as footnotes.

Memo Links  Select this option to include memo links as footnotes.

Other Options

Paragraph Numbers  Select this option to display a number next to each paragraph. This option is only available for documents, memos and externals.

Grid lInes  Select this option to display gridlines between rows and columns when you print a dataset.

Row and column headings  Select this option to include row numbers and column headings when you print a dataset.

Coding Stripes  This option (available when coding stripes are displayed) controls whether the coding stripes are included when the source or node is printed. You can select:

  • No  The coding stripes are not printed.

  • Print on Same Page  The coding stripes are printed on the same page as the source or node content. The source or node content is scaled and rotated to allow space on the page for the coding stripes. This option is only available when you are printing documents, memos, externals or printing the Reference view of a node.

  • Print on Adjacent Pages  The coding stripes are printed an a separate page. A page of content is printed and then the coding stripes are printed on the following pages.

Classification Select this option to include the classification when you print a source or node. This option is only available if the source or node has been classified. Refer to About classifications for more information.

  • Attributes  If you selected to print the classification, then you can choose to list the attribute values associated with the source or node.

Print Selection Select this option to print only selected cells when you print a dataset.
